Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking an ER Tech for weekend shifts (11p-11a), 36 hours per week, with a 25% weekend differential. You will support the ED team under a nurse’s supervision, performing time-sensitive tasks and basic patient care.

Responsibilities include EKG testing, specimen collection, vital signs, and glucose testing, with training for phlebotomy and lead placement. Requirements: high school diploma and BLS within 90 days, plus crisis prevention training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation and maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform designated tasks under nurse supervision.
• Conduct time-sensitive EKG testing and promptly inform care team of results.
• Collect specimens (blood, throat/nasal swabs, urine, stool) per policy.
• Perform routine vital signs and document in the medical record.
• Perform blood glucose testing as ordered.
