Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an ER Tech for the Weekend Program at the Freestanding Emergency Department. This full-time role covers 11a to 11p on weekends, totaling 36 hours per week, with a 25% weekend differential.

The ER Tech will perform delegated patient care tasks under nurse supervision, including EKG testing, specimen collection, vital signs, and glucose testing. High school diploma or GED and BLS are required, with crisis prevention training annually.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation and maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform time-sensitive EKG testing and inform care team promptly.
• Collect specimens per policy (blood, throat/nasal swabs, urine) and training completed.
• Record routine vital signs in the patient chart.
• Perform blood glucose testing as ordered.
