Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking an ER Tech for its freestanding emergency department. This part-time position schedules 11a–11p, totaling 24 hours per week, and supports nursing staff with time-sensitive tasks, EKGs, and specimen collection.

Training covers lead placement, alternate ECGs, glucose testing, and documentation of vital signs. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and BLS certification within 90 days; crisis prevention training is required annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform time sensitive EKG testing and inform care providers promptly.
• Collect specimens (blood, throat/nasal swabs, stool, urine) per policy.
• Record vital signs and document in the medical record.
• Perform blood glucose testing as ordered.
