Job summary

Lutheran Downtown Hospital Stellhorn ER in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a part-time RN for evening shifts (Sat/Sun, 3p-11:30p). The hospital features an onsite lab and diagnostic imaging with nine private rooms and 24/7 access to emergency care.

The RN provides patient-centered care, coordinates with physicians and the care team, administers medications, and supports patient education while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure required (state licensure or compact).
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient conditions and care needs; communicate with care team.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Coordinate with physicians and nurses to implement care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as needed.
