Job summary

Lutheran Downtown Hospital Stellhorn ER is seeking an RN for full-time evenings in Fort Wayne, IN. The RN provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinates with physicians and care teams, and ensures safety, education, and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student rotations in acute care.
• RN licensure required with BCLS; ACLS/PALS preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Conduct thorough assessments and document findings; report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor effects, and document administration.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency; collaborate on care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities.
• Educate patients and families; ensure understanding of care and discharge plans.
• Maintain infection control and operate medical equipment safely.
