Job summary

The Village at Germantown, Inc. seeks a Security/EMT to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff under the supervision of the Security/EMT Manager.

You will handle emergencies, coordinate with first responders, and perform daily operational duties to support well-being and safety. Responsibilities include responding to calls, providing emergent care, conducting inspections, and maintaining incident reports.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and follow written and verbal directions.
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical school preferred.
• 3–5 years EMT experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of regulatory and healthcare inspection processes and training mandates.
• EMT Basic/Advanced EMT and CPR certifications required; Life Safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls, provide CPR, and use equipment to extend patient life until EMS arrival.
• Gather data during routine inspections to support response plans.
• Coordinate with outside resources via 9-1-1 and dispatch medical transport as needed.
• Patrol premises to prevent intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, equipment, and vehicles.
• Respond to fire alarms and accompany fire department during emergencies.
• Notify police for suspicious activity and track intruder location until arrival.
