Job summary

Eaton’s Arden, NC facility is hiring an Electrical Technician I for the weekend shift (Friday-Sunday, 7am–7pm). The role focuses on final inspection and functional testing of Eaton products, creating test plans, and verifying circuitry in various assemblies.

You will troubleshoot, document repairs, and ensure compliance with schematics and specifications. Requirements include a high school diploma, 2 years in power or electrical distribution, and ability to read electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma / GED
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience working in power distribution or electrical distribution
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Immigration sponsorship or work visa support is not provided by Eaton
• No relocation benefit; candidates within 50-mile radius considered

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions, drawings, and specs to set up, inspect, and test equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, insulation, and sequence testing on assemblies and components.
• Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with Engineering, Quality, and supervision.
• Verify customer orders for completeness and support inspectors during testing and inspection.
• Recommend improvements to procedures and ensure changes are implemented.
• Maintain test equipment, calibration status, records, and reports.
