Job description

Position Overview

Electrical Technician – Weekend Shift (Friday‑Sunday 7am–7pm) at the Arden, NC facility. Hourly pay is $26.50. This role is a key position in the final inspection and functional testing of Eaton’s power distribution and control products.

Responsibilities

• Follow verbal and written instructions, drawings, and specifications to set up, inspect, and test equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, insulation, and sequence testing; inspect assemblies, panels, and components for quality and functionality.
• Troubleshoot test failures, determine root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with Engineering, Quality, and supervision.
• Verify customer orders for completeness and support customer inspectors during testing and inspection activities.
• Recommend and support improvements to assembly, wiring, calibration, testing procedures; ensure required changes and repairs are completed.
• Maintain test equipment, calibration status, records, and reports.
• Comply with all safety, PPE, hygiene, and housekeeping requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2years of work experience in power distribution or electrical distribution.
• Experience troubleshooting complex electrical circuits and reading/ interpreting electrical schematics.
• Will not receive immigration sponsorship for this position.
• Only candidates within 50‑mile radius of the work location (Active‑Duty military exempt) will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology, Engineering, Electromechanical, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 1year of reading and interpreting schematics.
• Experience working with open and energized electrical equipment in a testing environment.
