Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician for weekend daytime shifts at our Hanover, PA facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated packaging and conveyor systems.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical).
Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology is preferred.
Skilled in diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and repairing advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material handling equipment
Working with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation
Installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical components like relays, motors, and panels
Performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep things running smoothly
Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams with accuracy
Installing conduit, EMT, and sealtite independently to support system upgrades and expansions
