Job summary
Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is hiring an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician for the weekend day shift (Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM). The role focuses on supporting automated conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment, with emphasis on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in industrial maintenance, experience with conveyors, PLCs, VFDs, and reading electrical schematics.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical).
- Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse technology.
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Skilled in diagnosing sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and repairing advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material handling equipment.
- Working with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
- Installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical components like relays, motors, and panels.
- Performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep systems running.
- Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams with accuracy.
- Installing conduit, EMT, and sealtite to support upgrades and expansions.
