Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is seeking a motivated Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our weekend day shift. In this hands-on, full-time role you’ll keep automated conveyor lines and high‑speed packaging equipment running, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance.

You’ll work Friday–Monday, 5:55 AM–5:55 PM, with a competitive sign‑on and retention bonus. Candidates should have at least 5 years’ industrial maintenance experience, be able to lift up to 100 lbs,

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical).
Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution tech.
Skilled in diagnosing sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work at heights up to 30 ft.
Food manufacturing or packaging experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and repairing conveyor belts and automated material handling equipment.
Working with PLCs, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
Installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical components like relays, motors, and panels.
Performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Installing conduit, EMT, and sealtite to support upgrades.
