Qualifications

• Technical degree or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Preferred: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography credential.
• HEARTSAVER certification by American Heart Association.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI.
• Preferred: ARDMS credentials in Adult/Pediatric Echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine, emergency, Doppler, and special Echo procedures without cardiologist.
• Prepares patient and imaging windows, explains procedure, answers questions.
• Identify cardiac abnormalities and extend exam scope as needed.
• Participates in quality monitoring and departmental meetings.
• Maintains customer relations and supports a positive team environment.
• In emergency, initiates code procedures and CPR as indicated.
• Cleans equipment and reports need for repairs.
• Adheres to time, attendance, and dress code; available for on-call.
