Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking a PRN Echo Technologist to cover weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with potential weekday work and on-call shifts. The Echocardiographer will perform echocardiograms and exercise echocardiograms, including color flow mapping and Doppler imaging, largely without cardiologist assistance.

Responsibilities include patient prep, image acquisition, abnormality identification, and participation in quality initiatives.

Formación

• Required technical degree or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Preferred degree in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography.
• Ability to explain procedures to patients and answer questions.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine and special Echo exams (Doppler, 2-D, color flow mapping, m-mode).
• Prepare patient positioning considering acoustical window and anatomy.
• Identify and define cardiac abnormalities; extend exam scope as needed.
• Participate in department/hospital committees and quality activities.
• Maintain customer relations and promote a positive work environment.
• Initiate code procedures in emergencies and assist CPR.
• Clean equipment and report major repairs.
• Adhere to time, attendance, and dress code policies.
• Available for on-call and respond quickly for emergencies.
