Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare seeks an experienced Echo Technologist for weekend PRN coverage. You will perform echocardiograms and exercise echocardiograms including color flow mapping and Doppler imaging, with focus on accurate findings and patient care in a busy cardiology lab.

Responsibilities include on-call readiness, image optimization, and collaboration with the cardiology team, while upholding MLH values and patient-first care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Required: Technical Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Preferred: Technical Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography.
• Licenses/certifications listed below must be met to practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine, emergency, Doppler, and special echocardiography procedures without cardiologist assistance.
• Prepares patients and selects acoustic windows for optimal imaging.
• Identifies cardiac abnormalities and expands exam scope as needed.
• Participates in departmental/hospital committees and quality monitoring.
• Maintains equipment and adheres to policies for time and dress code.
• On-call availability for emergencies and additional hours if requested.
