Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking an Echocardiographer II to perform echocardiogram and exercise echocardiogram studies, including color flow mapping, doppler imaging, and 2-D m-mode, independently on assigned patients. The role supports MLH mission and values while maintaining clinical excellence.

You will perform routine and complex echo procedures, participate in quality initiatives, and collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Preferred: Technical degree or diploma in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography.
• 1–3 years’ echocardiography experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine, emergency, Doppler, and special echo procedures without a cardiologist.
• Attends/participates in departmental/hospital committees or groups as assigned.
• Participates in quality monitoring and evaluation activities.
• Demonstrates strong customer relations skills and contributes to teamwork.
• Initiates code procedures and CPR in emergencies as indicated.
• Cleans equipment and reports major repairs as needed.
• Performs other job functions as assigned.
