Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN seeks a Part-Time Echocardiography Technologist to perform noninvasive heart ultrasound studies on weekends. You will review records, explain procedures to patients, and administer echocardiograms under physician orders, while maintaining safety and HIPAA compliance.

Ideal candidates will have ARDMS/CCI certification (or similar), a high school diploma, CPR/BCLS on hire, and about two years of echocardiography experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• ARDMS or CCI certification is required within 2 years.
• CPR/BCLS certification required upon hire.
• Minimum 2 years of adult/pediatric echocardiography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-call and callback coverage as required.
• Reviews patient records prior to testing to obtain and record identifying information.
• Explains echocardiogram procedures to patients in a caring, compassionate manner.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and performs echocardiograms as ordered.
• Maintains accurate documentation and enters data in hospital systems.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Participates in quality/performance improvement activities.
