Job summary

Family Resource Network (FRN) is hiring two Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for the Out N About program in Newark, NJ. The positions cover Saturdays with responsibilities for social, recreational activities and community participation.

Two roles exist: Permanent Saturday DSP and Floating DSP. Requires high school diploma, CPR/TB tests, and favorable background check; driving may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• CPR Certification, TB test, etc. required.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must submit to a criminal history review/fingerprint.
• Valid driver's license and insurance if driving for the agency.
• Drug testing required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Work at in-person Saturday events as required by the program.
• Provide support and supervision to participants.
• Maintain confidentiality and document program notes.
• Coordinate with Program Lead and Adult Recreation Coordinator.
• Ensure safety and well-being of participants at all times.
• Assist with transportation in agency-arranged vehicles when needed.
• Attend quarterly meetings and complete professional development hours.
