Job summary

Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a 16-hour-per-week role in New Jersey. The DSP supports residents in group homes, assisting with personal care, daily activities, and documenting services. This position requires a valid driver’s license and a HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience with ID/DD population is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help meet residents' health, safety and welfare in group homes.
• Assist with personal care, bathing, toileting, meals, and daily living activities.
• Administer and/or assist with medication administration as needed.
• Document services daily and communicate with supervisors and staff.
• Transport residents to day programs or community activities.
