Job summary

Essential Services LLC in Oregon seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide person-centered care in clients' homes and in the community. You’ll assist with daily living, implement ISP goals, and foster growth and independence in a positive, inclusive environment.

Weekend availability, a valid driver’s license with insurance, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a DHS background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience as a DSP or in a similar caregiving/support role.
• Comfortable supporting individuals with high behavioral needs.
• Available to work weekends (required).
• Own reliable transportation for use in transporting clients.
• Valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance (minimum 100k/300k liability coverage).
• Smartphone with internet access for documentation.
• Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

• Care and Support: Assist clients with daily tasks and implement ISP goals.
• Community Engagement: Accompany clients on outings and promote social inclusion.
• Safety and Communication: Ensure safety, respond to emergencies, and document activities.
