Job summary

Help at Home, LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one, in-home support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Weekend shifts are available with part-time scheduling, paid training, and opportunities for career growth.

You will assist with daily living activities, community participation, and personal goals while promoting dignity and self-advocacy. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work part-time weekend shifts.
• Successful completion of a background check and required training.
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, either primary or secondary coverage.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in individuals' homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals develop daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and other personal care activities.
• Provide hands-on assistance based on individual needs while encouraging independence.
• Provide transportation and support participation in shopping, social events, and community activities.
• Help individuals work toward personal goals and recognize their progress.
• Promote personal choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
