HAVE Support, Inc. is seeking a dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their home and community in Gaithersburg, MD. This is a weekend, hands-on role focusing on promoting independence and meaningful activities.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal support, transportation, documentation, and collaboration with the support team to ensure health and safety per plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background screening must be passed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Willingness to complete CPR/First Aid and DDA training.
• Able to work the full weekend schedule consistently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with personal care, meals, and daily living needs.
• Support participants with household chores and organization.
• Plan and participate in community outings and recreational activities.
• Transport participants to activities and appointments.
• Follow participant support plans and document progress accurately.
• Communicate concerns to supervisors and support team.
