Job summary

REM Community Services is hiring a caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a community setting. This part-time weekend role offers meaningful work helping participants grow, learn, and live well.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, supporting participants with behavioral needs, and helping them achieve goals in daily activities. Valid driver’s license and vehicle access required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants pursue personal goals related to budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Build real relationships and provide supportive, compassionate care in a community setting.
