Job summary

The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is seeking caring, reliable Direct Support Professionals to empower individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to achieve goals and independence at home and in the community.

Pay: $17.00 per hour, (sleep shifts $13.00 per hour). Locations: Lucas and Wood County. Available Schedules: Part-Time - Weekends and one day a week. Anticipated Hours: 12-20 hours – 2nd & 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks.
• Assist with personal care: ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.
• Engage individuals in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Prepare meals, cleaning, laundry, and household tasks.
• Transport individuals safely to appointments or social outings.
• Encourage personal growth and achievement of goals.
• Accurately document activities, incidents, and client progress.
• Communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients.
• Participate in required paid training and team meetings.
