Friendship Community Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist clients with daily living skills in home and community settings. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork.

Weekend schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 6 hours each, part-time. Must have GED/HS diploma or equivalent experience and valid driver’s license. Benefit from a supportive environment and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two+ years' experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks (showers, dressing, housekeeping, meals, budgeting).
• Provide transportation to activities/appointments as needed; valid Arkansas driver's license required.
• Maintain communication via logs, meetings, and documentation.
• Complete required forms and reports (behavioral, incident, progress, attendance, etc.).
• Follow Medicaid-related vehicle documentation and mileage/billing procedures.
• Report incidents/emergencies promptly; support Plan of Care implementation.
• Assist in medication management and monitoring as directed.
• Organize and conduct recreational activities for clients.
• Represent FCC with professionalism and adhere to dress code and confidentiality.
