Job summary

Arbor Associates is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals for weekend shifts in Wolcott, CT. Earn $20.00/hr delivering direct care to adults who need consistent, engaged support. Two weekend options: Saturday–Sunday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. W-2 employment from day one offers stability and a meaningful bump in weekly income.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability required
• Experience in direct care for adults
• Able to work Saturday and Sunday shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for adults with behavioral needs—personal hygiene care, ADL assistance, meal prep, mobility, and daily living skills.
• Maintain a calm, steady demeanor throughout every interaction, including during challenging moments.
• Engage actively and meaningfully with the individuals you support—connection is a core part of this role, not an afterthought.
• Monitor health and behavior, document observations accurately, and communicate updates to program staff at shift end.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, person-centered environment that upholds dignity and individual preferences at all times.
• Attend 3 days of required training in North Haven, CT prior to beginning work.
• Follow program safety protocols, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to all Arbor and program-specific standards throughout every shift.
