Job summary

The Community Supports Network, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities live independently and safely in their communities.

This entry-level healthcare role offers paid training, growth opportunities, and no prior experience required. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, personal care, transportation, and community participation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Reliable vehicle for transportation during shifts.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Ability to complete job-related training and certifications.
• Paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, laundry, household routines).
• Help with personal care, hygiene, and medication support per care plans.
• Transport and accompany to appointments, work, errands, and community activities.
• Encourage independence, social engagement, hobbies and personal interests.
• Support learning life skills, job skills and community participation.
• Complete habilitation activities and required documentation accurately.
• Follow health, safety, behavioral and individual support plans.

Job description

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide daily support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, helping them live independently, safely, and meaningfully in their communities. This is a rewarding entry-level healthcare and human services role with paid training and growth opportunities. No prior experience required.
Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and household routines
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and medication support according to training and care plans
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, work, errands, and community activities
• Encourage independence, social engagement, hobbies, and personal interests
• Support individuals in learning life skills, job skills, and community participation
• Complete habilitation activities and required documentation accurately and on time
• Follow all health, safety, behavioral, and individual support plans

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
• Reliable vehicle for transportation during shifts

Schedule and Location

• Looking for WEEKEND (Fri-Sat-Sun) shifts.
• Available shifts include: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm & Asleep and Awake OVN shifts (11pm-7am)
• Work occurs in residential homes and community-based settings

Pay and Compensation

• Hourly pay range $15.50 to $18.00 per hour (based on education & years of experience)
• Shift differentials may apply based on schedule and coverage needs
• Asleep OVN shifts pay during asleep hours: $10.00 hourly
