Job summary

Friendship Community Care, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional to join an interdisciplinary team in home and community settings in Arkansas. You will assist clients with daily living tasks, monitor safety, and support Plan of Care while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential as you help with personal care, transportation, and activities, while following policies and driving requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two+ years' experience with developmentally disabled individuals preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for transporting clients to activities and appointments.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with clients and staff.
• Wollows policies and HIPAA rules and maintains client confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in daily living tasks, including showers, dressing, meals, budgeting and housekeeping.
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments with a valid Arkansas driver’s license.
• Maintain documentation in logs, incident reports and plans of care as required.
• Follow plan of care to ensure health, safety and security of clients.
• Support medication management and organize recreational activities for clients.
