Responsibilities

• Administrative functions related to dietary operations.
• Review menus prior to food preparation.
• Inspect diet trays to ensure correct diets are served.
• Complete forms and reports as requested by Dietary Manager or Dietitian.
• Coordinate food preparation with other departments.
• Work with the facility's dietitian and implement recommendations.
• Ensure dietary procedures follow facility policies.
• Maintain and file menus per facility policies.
• Assist in establishing production lines to ensure timely meals.
• Prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Serve meals with proper portion control and provide nourishment.
• Prepare and serve substitutes as needed; assist in serving and special meals.
