Job summary

Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Dietary Supervisor to join our team on a PRN weekend schedule. The supervisor will oversee daily Food Services operations, ensuring nutritious meals are prepared in a sanitary environment and compliant with regulations.

Requirements include at least five years of supervisory healthcare experience, ServSafe certification, cost-control training, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• Requires at least five years supervisory experience in a hospital or nursing facility.
• ServSafe Certified; training in cost control and diet therapy.
• Proficiency with diet-management software and meal planning systems.
• Strong teamwork, empathy, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and supervising all aspects of the Food Services Department.
• Coordinate food service activities with Nursing, Environmental Services, Activities, and Social Services.
• Interpret and communicate department policies and procedures to staff, residents, visitors, and regulators.
• Oversee food service staff performance, scheduling, and compliance with standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of meals according to posted cycle menus.
• Complete administrative duties such as reports, evaluations, and inventories.
• Participate in facility inspections and assist with health and safety compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all food prep and storage areas.
• Implement and monitor safety and inventory control procedures.
