Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R) and active ARRT registry.
• Current Iowa Permit to Practice.
• Participation in professional society (ISRT or SCD).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certified or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within 3 months of hire.
• 24 CEU’s every 2 years.
• Two years’ experience as a radiologic technologist.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for the Diagnostic Imaging Department during their shift.
• Develops and implements department objectives with managers and staff.
• Monitors staff performance and coaches as needed; assists with appraisals.
• Promotes compliance with objectives and procedures.
• Assists in interviews of prospective employees.
• Monitors the department’s physical environment.
• Coordinates department activities with other areas to ensure patient care.
