Job summary

MercyOne in Des Moines is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team for weekend shifts. You will maintain efficient departmental operations and perform essential imaging services with a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program completed.
• Active ARRT RT(R) registration and Iowa Permit to Practice.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within 3 months of hire.
• Participation in ISRT or SCD professional societies.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for the Diagnostic Imaging Department during their shift.
• Develops and implements department objectives with managers and staff.
• Monitors staff performance; assists managers with counseling and appraisals.
• Promotes staff adherence to department objectives and policies.
• Assists in interviewing prospective employees.
• Monitors the department’s physical environment.
• Coordinates department activities with other hospital areas to ensure patient care.
