Qualifications

• Accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program completed.
• Registry eligible or Registered Radiologic Technologist; active registry status.
• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice.
• BLS certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Participation in professional society (ISRT or SCD).

Responsibilities

• Performs Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including operating imaging equipment.
• Rotates through surgery cases to attain level III status.
• Provides patient/family education and counseling on health problems.
• Maintains the department environment: clean, stocked, orderly.
• Operates equipment safely and reports malfunctions to manager/biomed.
