Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the Marshalls Fulfillment Center in Dayton, USA. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and repairs of forklifts, conveyors, and DC equipment, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will operate warehouse equipment, troubleshoot mechanical failures, and support facilities with basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical tasks while maintaining records and coordinating with supervisors.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in the maintenance field.
• 3–5 years of conveyor systems and power equipment experience.
• General knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, water systems, building repairs.
• Knowledge of building codes, trade standards and general practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Pay range of $24.50/hour-$32.50/hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical repairs on warehouse distribution equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines with emphasis on Lock-out Tag-out and fall protection.
• Obtain and maintain a PIT license within 90 days.
• Read blueprints and schematics.
• General maintenance including painting, plumbing and housekeeping.
• Operate and troubleshoot EMS and control systems.
• Maintain records of maintenance tasks.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Willing to work weekends and overtime.
• Interact with automated handling control systems.
• Identify damaged equipment and perform timely repairs.
• Work at elevated locations.
• Snow/ice removal and salting where applicable.
