Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a seasoned Operations Leader to drive eCommerce fulfillment, optimize picking/packing, and enhance distribution efficiency. You will coach cross‑functional teams and implement system enhancements to meet growing online demand.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a strong background in warehouse/fulfillment environments. This on-site position supports peak-season demand and safety standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related work experience required.
5+ years of related work experience.
Managerial experience in warehouse, distribution, store, or manufacturing environments.
Experience in eCommerce, direct-to-consumer, or fulfillment environments.
Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, WMS, AS/400, Lotus Notes, and Sterling Commerce.

Responsibilities

Lead eCommerce fulfillment operations by driving accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction.
Manage picking, packing, and parcel processes to ensure orders flow smoothly through the distribution center.
Improve workflows by analyzing data and implementing changes that strengthen cost efficiency and performance.
Support teams through coaching, training, and hands‑on leadership that builds capability and confidence.
Collaborate across functions to support new tools, system enhancements, and evolving eCommerce needs.
Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and operational consistency as the department grows.
