Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors seeks an experienced DC Operations leader to oversee daily shift activities, drive fulfillment accuracy, and manage safety and process improvements. You will lead teams across shifts, collaborate with DC Operations, Merchant, and Store Ops to ensure accurate fulfillment and service delivery.

The role requires 7+ years of related experience including 3 years in management, proficiency with WMS Manhattan and RF inventory, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of related experience including 3+ years in management.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and RF-managed inventory.
• Strong collaboration across shifts, DCs, and business units.
• Decision-making with incomplete information.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations for your assigned shift, ensuring smooth eCommerce fulfillment, supplies management, and service request workflows.
• Drive accuracy, quality, and productivity through consistent processes and strong team leadership.
• Support safety, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts for DC efficiency.
• Maintain operational standards by monitoring performance metrics and ensuring a safe, clean, organized environment.
• Lead process observations, address gaps, and collaborate across teams to keep service levels on track.
• Coach your team through changes, new initiatives, and cross-functional training to strengthen capability.
