Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Day Surgery RN for weekend coverage in Augusta, GA. This role supports patient care in a large surgical department, with 3 twelve-hour shifts on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
The hospital emphasizes staff engagement through councils, continuous education and opportunities for growth within a leading national health system. You will assess patients pre- and post-operatively, educate families, and ensure adherence to surgical safety protocols while
Competenze
- GA license active as RN
- ACLS within 1 year of start date
- BLS within 30 days of start date
- PALS within 1 year of start date
- Associates or Bachelors in Nursing required
Mansioni
- Evaluate patients pre-surgery
- Educate patients and families about procedures
- Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds
- Perform site verification and universal protocols
- Respond to patient emergencies
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in OR
- Collaborate with surgeons, techs and interdisciplinary team
- Document patient condition and care provided
- Educate on follow-up measures
