Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for OR Nights. You will evaluate patients pre-operatively, educate families, and manage IV therapy and anesthesia-related steps to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and CPR/BLS current within 30 days of start date.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in nursing at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation including IV therapy and preoperative medications
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and staff as part of the OR team
• Document changes in patient condition and care provided accurately
