Doctors Hospital of Augusta invites applications for an Registered Nurse Day Surgery. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with managers and hospital councils, and involvement in nursing initiatives to elevate outcomes.

The position requires ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications within specified timelines, GA RN licensure, and an ADN/BSN. On-site with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Formación

• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• RN license in GA must be clear and active.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team.
• Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe nursing care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout shift, and document changes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures.

Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
