AdventHealth in Columbus, NC is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician to perform tests, report results, and support daily laboratory operations. The role requires good attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to quality and patient safety.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree in a laboratory science, 1+ year clinical lab experience preferred, and comfort working nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory science or related field; CLIA equivalency may apply.
• 1+ year clinical lab experience preferred.
• Willingness to work nights/weekends/holidays as needed.
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Conducts all expected tests and analytical procedures per hospital procedures and standards.
• Performs post-analytical activities including reporting results and supporting staff.
• Participates in proficiency testing and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Maintains equipment, inventory, and quality control measures.
• Provides training and orientation for new employees; supports department operations.
• Ensures confidentiality and adheres to safety policies and PPE usage.
