Job summary

AMERICAN SWIM ACADEMY is seeking a dependable Custodian/Janitorial Team Member for our Walnut Creek location. The role focuses on keeping the facility clean, safe, and welcoming for members, families, and staff.

The position includes weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with compensation of $19.00–$20.00 per hour based on experience, plus benefits like uniform shirts, casual dress code, and a 50% discount on swim lessons for eligible family members.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to work independently and stay on task.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members, co-workers, and management.
• Experience in custodial or janitorial work is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility, including interior and exterior areas.
• Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties in accordance with company standards.
• Safely use approved cleaning products, equipment, and supplies.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or facility issues.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and management.
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and courteous attitude while working in a family-oriented environment.
• Clean and maintain the facility with minimal interruption to members and staff.
• Communicate effectively with members, co-workers, and management.
