Job summary

West Allis Memorial Hospital, Inc. seeks a CT technologist to operate CT equipment and perform diagnostic procedures across body regions.

You will obtain patient history, verify orders, position patients, optimize scan factors, and ensure radiation safety in accordance with regulatory standards. The role includes contrast preparation under Radiologist direction, post-processing and labeling, and data entry into the radiology information system.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• State licensure as Radiographer and ARRT registrations to be obtained.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures.
• Obtains medical history from patients and verifies exam orders.
• Positions patient and selects scanning factors, ensuring radiation safety.
• Prepares and administers contrast under Radiologist supervision.
• Post-processes images and accurately labels files with patient data.
• Enters patient and study information into the radiology information system and documents billing codes.
• Performs equipment QA tests and reports malfunctions.
• Handles patient positioning and transporting duties with proper lifting technique.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and communicates effectively with staff and patients.
