Job summary

Aurora Medical Center West Allis is seeking a Weekend Program CT Technologist II to join our Imaging team. This full-time weekend position offers 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM–6:00 PM) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with holiday rotation.

You’ll operate CT equipment, administer contrast, and support advanced imaging procedures in a collaborative environment. Required licensure as a Wisconsin Radiographer, ARRT RT and CT registrations, and BLS within 6 months; typically 2 years CT experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and radiation safety.
• Proficient in IV and venipuncture.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Certification Addendum required by department.
• Annual education requirements for hospital certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to perform basic to advanced diagnostic procedures (incl. CT guidance, angiography, cardiac, PET/CT).
• Obtain patient history and verify requisitions for exam accuracy.
• Position patients and adjust scanning factors to obtain correct images and ensure radiation safety.
• Prepare/ administer contrast under Radiologist direction and assist in scanning techniques.
• Post-process images and label images with patient details and location.
• Maintain records and document billing codes; enter data into RIS.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA tests; report malfunctions.
• Serve as a resource/ preceptor for staff and students; collaborate with departments for education.
• Assist in patient positioning and transportation with proper safety technique.
• Demonstrate care appropriate to patient age and growth/development needs.
