Job summary

UPMC West Shore seeks a CT Technologist for the Weekend program. This full-time role covers Saturdays and Sundays 12pm-12am, with rotating on-call and holidays. Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of CT experience.
• Eligible to work 48 weekends per year.
• Weekend program offers a 15% increase in hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures using established scan protocols with contrast as ordered.
• Operates imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, reconstruct and document image data.
• Ensures exams are coded and tracked in RIS and connected to ISITE for archiving.
• Administers PO, rectal and IV contrast per orders and assesses risk factors.
• Explains procedures clearly to patients and supports their comfort and cooperation.
• Interacts with patients and staff to expedite patient care and maintain quality.
• Verifies patient identity with two identifiers and documents history in the EMR.
