Job summary

UPMC North Central Pa. is seeking a CT Technologist for a Weekend Program offering a consistent schedule with premium pay. Expect 48 weekends per year, 24 hours per weekend (two 12-hour shifts or three 8-hour shifts), and a Friday 3:00 p.m. to Monday 7:00 a.m.

window. Requires a Radiologic Technology degree, ARRT, and CT experience. Join a collaborative imaging team with access to advanced CT technology; weekend incentives include a $20,000 sign-on bonus and a 15% base-rate differential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• CT certification or eligibility preferred.
• Minimum of six months of CT experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures using established protocols and contrast administration.
• Utilize CT equipment for image acquisition, analysis, reconstruction and documentation.
• Adjust protocols with clinical judgment to obtain optimal imaging results.
• Accurately document patient information and ensure proper coding and charging in RIS/PACS.
• Administer oral, rectal and IV contrast per physician orders.
• Demonstrate venipuncture and power injector use proficiently.
• Review orders and patient history to ensure safe and accurate imaging.
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear explanations to patients.
