Job summary

UPMC St. Margaret is seeking a Weekend Program CT Technologist to join our Imaging team in Pittsburgh. This role performs high-level CT examinations and collaborates with cardiologists on specialized cardiac imaging studies within a supportive, career‑ladder environment.

The Weekend Program requires 24 hours per weekend with rotating start times; ARRT registry eligibility and CNMT/CT registry milestones are specified, and a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 is offered with a 2‑year commitment.

Qualifications

• ARRT registry must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
• CNMT registry must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of hire date.
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school or CNMT program.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures using established scan protocols with contrast without constant supervision.
• Adjust protocols with independent judgment to optimize diagnostic quality.
• Operate advanced imaging equipment for acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation.
• Demonstrate venipuncture and safely operate power injectors per guidelines.
• Administer contrast media per orders and assess risk factors prior to administration.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and document in the EMR.
• Communicate clearly with patients to promote understanding and cooperation.
• Ensure examinations are coded and transmitted to RIS/iSite and billed appropriately.
