Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is seeking a Weekend CT Technologist to perform CT exams, start IVs, and maintain ALARA standards. You will communicate with radiologists, physicians, and patients while ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality imaging.

The role requires ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications, BCLS, and a patient-centric approach in a dynamic radiology department. Weekend coverage and on-call expectations may apply.

Qualifications

• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-CT certification is required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams following protocols and in a timely manner.
• Take patient history and retrieve orders or prior images.
• Provide patient history, signs, and symptoms to the radiologist.
• Complete documentation accurately.
• Coordinate patient flow and ensure all exams are completed.
• Support ALARA principles to minimize radiation dose.
• Inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
• Interact professionally with physicians, patients, and family members.
• Start IVs for contrast administration and use the power injector.
• Prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.
• Support quality improvement plans and participate in PI activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of patient age groups and appropriate care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
