Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Lebanon, TN is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT exams, ensure image quality, and deliver excellent patient care in collaboration with radiologists and physicians. You will prepare patients, start IVs for contrast administration, and help coordinate exam scheduling.

This role involves on-call coverage, adherence to ALARA principles, and ongoing participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ARRT-CT certification required.
• ARRT-R Radiography certification.
• Associate Degree in radiologic technology or related field.
• One year of post-graduate experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams following protocols and in a timely manner.
• Take patient history and retrieve necessary orders or prior images.
• Provide patient history, signs, and symptoms appropriate to the exam to the radiologist.
• Complete documentation accurately.
• Coordinate patient flow and verify all exams are completed.
• Support ALARA principles and safe radiation practices.
• Inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
• Interact professionally with physicians, patients, and family members.
• Prepare procedure trays with supplies and start IVs for contrast administration.
• Operate the power injector and ensure equipment readiness.
• Participate in quality improvement (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.
