Responsibilities

• Provides crisis and suicide intervention counseling over the telephone to emergency callers.
• Identifies and suggests appropriate organizations and service providers to meet callers' needs.
• Documents and maintains accurate records of all telephone interventions.
• Supervises and monitors staff and volunteers to ensure quality crisis assistance and accurate documentation.
• Provides crisis intervention training and consultation to staff, volunteers, and community groups.
• Attends staff meetings and shares procedures of crisis intervention counselors.
• Provide crisis intervention to community groups traumatized by suicide as assigned.
