Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, psychology, or related field; or HS diploma with crisis training and volunteer hours.
• Crisis Intervention training (50 hours) and six months of volunteer time with Seven Counties Services after training.

Responsibilities

• Provides crisis and suicide intervention counseling over the telephone to emergency/crisis callers.
• Documents and maintains accurate records of all telephone interventions.
• Reviews daily logs and client records for accuracy.
• Supervises staff and volunteers to ensure quality crisis assistance and documentation.
• Provides crisis intervention training and consultation to other counselors and groups.
• Attends team meetings and shares procedures information.
• Performs crisis intervention for traumatized community groups as assigned.
