Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities in Portland, ME, is seeking a Weekend Cook to join our scratch-based kitchen on Saturdays and Sundays. You’ll prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring meals are safely cooked, visually appealing, and portioned to resident preferences, with attention to quality and consistency.

You’ll build positive relationships with residents, guests, and team members to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere each weekend.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is preferred.
• Ability to secure appropriate food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two weeks of first day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes by cooking a wide variety of proteins and vegetables, ensuring each plate is appealing.
• Engage in continuous improvement by contributing ideas during meetings and staying attentive to the service line during meals.
• Complete all opening and closing tasks for each shift, and support teammates to maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
• Keep stations fully stocked and organized, refresh pantry items, and monitor refrigeration as needed.
• Ensure a sanitary kitchen by cleaning work areas and equipment and recording temperatures.
